Preimpact Disaster - Hurricane Milton Closing Suspension for Florida

Overview

The purpose of this announcement is to advise Carrington Mortgage Company, LLC (CMS) has placed all loan closings on hold, until further notice, in the state of Florida due to Hurricane Milton.

Hurricane Milton has intensified rapidly in the Gulf of Mexico. The storm is making its way east toward Florida and is expected to make landfall late Wednesday on the state's Gulf Coast. As Florida continues to recover from Hurricane Helene, as many as 15 million people are under flood watches there and 11 million are at risk for tropical tornadoes

Effective immediately, Carrington Mortgage Services has suspended all closings within the state of Florida until such a time in which the storms impact has been determined.

Please Note:

Scheduled closing will look to resume in the state of Florida as early as Friday, October 11, 2024, once CMS has a better understanding of the impact.
